Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Myrtle Beach. Burial will follow in Green Sea Cemetery, directed by Bullard Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rowell was born in Dillon County, a daughter of the late Hiram H. and Adeline Jackson. She had lived in Charleston Heights for many years. She was a member of Charleston Heights Baptist Church where she was a member of the Ladies Sunday School, and the Missionary Society.
She was the widow of Wallie Thomas Rowell.
Surviving are a son, Allison Jackson Rowell of Charleston Heights; two daughters, Miss Edythe Faye Rowell of Charleston Heights and Mrs. Wade Hampton Harrelson of Myrtle Beach; three sisters, Mrs. Rufus M. Jackson of Bennettsville, Mrs. Carson Grainger of Tabor City, N.C., and Mrs. John White of Bladenboro, N.C.; a brother, John Lee of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and four grandchildren."
