Charity Abaeo

Funeral services for Charity Abaeo, 10, were held at Oliver Funeral Home chapel at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 1990, with the Rev. Howard Davis officiating.

A fifth grade student at Green Hill Elementary School at Sardis, Charity died in a fire at her home in Sardis January 8.

She was the daughter of Retha Mabry of Sardis and Daniel Regino Abaeo of the Phillipines. She was born in Charleston, S.C.

Survivors also include her step-father, William Robert Mabry, II, of Sardis; two brothers, Reggy Abaeo and David Henson, both of Sardis; her maternal grandparents, Joanna Henson of Sardis and Russell Vanderford of Kansas; her paternal great-grandmother, Alicia Abaeo of the Phillipines; her maternal grandmother, Dell Yarbrough of the Lodi community; her maternal step-great-grandfather, Millard Henson of Sardis; and her great aunt, Sue Dodd of the Lodi community.

Burial was in Pine Forest Cemetery, with Oliver Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Anthony Dodd, David Grisham, Jeff Scruggs, Ken Todd, Jim Carson, and Stan Hyde.
