Died 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 1991, at Brule, Wisc. He was 47, a native of Independence and a resident of Walker. He was a pipeline inspector and a member of Operating Engineers Local No. 406. He was a U.S. Navy and Army veteran. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and after 8 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Doug Manchester. Interment in Palmetto Cemetery, Walker.

Survived by wife, Barbara Klein Rushing, Walker; a daughter, Tracy Lynn Rushing, Walker; a son, Ettice Rushing III, U.S. Coast Guard, Mobile, Ala.; a sister, Ruby Lee Spence, Baton Rouge; two brothers, Charles Rushing, Tennessee, and Arnold Ray Rushing, Walker; and two grandchildren, Leah Rochelle and Ettice Rushing IV, both of Mobile.

Pallbearers will be Ettice Rushing III, Claude Brown, Howard and Michael Ray Phenald, Nelson Husser and Bill Clayton.

He was a member of Denham Springs Masonic Lodge No. 297.
