Died at residence in Walker at 2 a.m. Sunday. A native of Livingston Parish, he was 40. The body will be at the Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home until 1:45 p.m. Monday. Religious services will be at the Judson Baptist Church, near Walker, at 2 p.m. Monday, the Revs. J. D. Carroll and P. W. Sibley officiating. Interment will be in the Palmetto Cemetery.

Survivors include the widow, the former Rugy [sic Ruby] George; three sons, Ettice Jr., Charles and Arnold Ray Rushing, all of Walker; one daughter, Miss Ruby Lee Rushing, Walker; six sisters, Mrs. Emma Hawkins, Baton Rouge, Mrs. Woodrow Thenald, Pride, Mrs. Henry Holden and Mrs. Bennie Hawkins, both of Ponchatoula, Mrs. W. B. MOnuce, Hammond, and Mrs. Willie Summerall, Bogalusa; two brothers, Alex Rushing, Denham Springs, and Arnold Rushing, Corbin, and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Millwrights local 720.
