Mrs. Mary Cheek passed away this morning at 5:40 o'clock, May 18, 1938, at the home of her son, Elmer Cheek, 527 South Monroe Street, at the age of 81 years.
The funeral services will be held from the residence, Thursday morning, at 10:30 o'clock. Burial will be made at the Elliott Cemetery, near Brunswick.
She leaves to mourn her passing, two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Brewer, of Los Angeles; Mrs. Belle Shunkwiller, of Bement, Illinois; one son, Elmer Cheek, of Brookfiled; two sisters, Mrs. Jack Yoakum, of this city, and Mrs. Laura Allen; of Jacksonville, Florida; fourteen grandchildren, and a host of friends.
