Kit was the daughter of Thomas Allen Wright, AKA Thomas Benjamin Allien and Melbra "Millie" Josephine Washington Allien. She married Luther Norris Ganey in LaSalle Parish, LA April 7, 1918. They had no children. She was also something of a poet. A few of her poems are still in the family.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kit A. Ganey, 87, of Jena were held April 18 at 2 p.m. at the Hixson Bros. Chapel with Rev. Eldred Blakely officiating.
Burial was held at Belah Cemetery at Trout.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Nova Bass of Jonesville and a number of nieces and nephews.
An interesting side note: The 1940 LaSalle parish census shows L.N. Ganey with his niece Maxine Allien and wife Katherine. I have never heard this name mentioned before!
