Joseph Glen Williams was born 11 September 1875 in Mississippi to John A and Lucinda C (Bailey) Williams. It is known that he frequently went by his middle name.

Sometime around the year 1908, Glen was united in marriage for the first time to Bertha L "Bertie" Godat. She was the daughter of Edward Patrick and Altha P (Edmundson) Godat. To their union only one known child was born: Mae Lillian Williams (b. 1909; d. 1991). I believe that Glen and Bertie were divorced sometime between 1910 and 1915.

Glen married for a second time on 28 May 1915 to Malinda Elizabeth "Linnie" Norman in Baxter County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Thomas Hill "Tom" and Hester A "Hattie" (Sutterfield*) Norman. To their union, three (known) children were born: Walter M "Willie" (b. 1919; d. 1975), Fern Marie (b. 1922; d. 2006) and Waco (b. 1924; d. 1986).

Linnie and Glen enjoyed just over ten years of marriage together before he suddenly passed away on 26 July 1925 in Garland County, Arkansas. He was laid to rest in the Table Rock Cemetery in Baxter County, Arkansas.

*Note: Hattie's maiden name is either Sutterfield or Pierce/Pearce. All records for her conflict on this and I have yet to sort out which is correct for her.
