Mrs. Rosa M. Ott, 102, one of Fond du Lac County’s oldest residents, died Tuesday, July 7, 1987 at the Villa Loretta Nursing Home in Mount Calvary.
She was born Nov. 6, 1884, in Calvary Station, the daughter of the late Jacob and Maria Schneider Simon.
On Feb. 4, 1908 she married John J. Ott at Johnsburg. They farmed in the town of Brothertown. Her husband preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 1952.
Mrs. Ott was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho, and its Christian Mother’s Society. She also belonged to the G.U.G. Germania Society.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Lucina Geiser of Kissimee, Fla.; two sons, Bernard j. of Jericho, and Joseph H. of Belle Plaine, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, a son, The Rev. Leo Ott, five sisters and eight brothers.
A concelebrated funeral Mass was held Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Jericho. The Rev. Robert Casper and Rev. Martin Simon, a nephew, served as celebrants.
