Esta Phillips Whitlock, age 62 of Bryceland, died April 20 at the Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. Mrs. Whitlock was a nurse's assistant and a member of the Arcadia Baptist Church. She was a native of Bienville. Her body was donated to the LSU Medical School.
Memorial services were held April 22 at the Bryceland Baptist Church, with Rev. Harlan Smith officiating. It was asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Foundation, or the charity of the giver's choice.
Survivors include one daughter, Janet W. Armer of Bossier City; one son, Thomas L. Whitlock of Tacoma, Washington; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Wilkins of Beaumont, California, Mrs. Bobbie Jean Raburn of Bryceland, and Mrs. Christine Sander of Minden; one brother, O.D. Greer of Minden; and four grandchildren.
