Patsy "Pat" Taylor, 80, of Yukon, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her soul mate of 58 years W.C."Dub" Taylor on Sunday, March 15, 2009, after a series of strokes. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. With her loving heart, and open arms, her family extended to include all who knew her.

Born October 16, 1928, in Brady, Texas. She was a self proclaimed Army brat and was awarded a driver's license at the age of 14 to drive in military caravans. It was in 1942, while her father was stationed as commander of the POW camp in Haskell, Oklahoma, that she met the love of her life, Dub. For the next 63 years they were side by side, in both work and play. They owned a men's clothing store and later a technical ollege. She wasn't simply "Miss Pat" but "Nanee Pat" to countless children during the 12 years she served at Covenant Community Church. Throughout her life Pat was involved with many clubs and organizations. Her favorite activity was life, her largest achievement was friendship, but she always maintained that her greatest accomplishment was her children. She enjoyed entertaining, socializing, football, basketball, going to the movies, playing games with friends, Wednesday morning Bible study, and UMW circle group. Her beautiful face and wonderful smile could light up any room she walked into.

She is survived by her daughters Pam Johnson and Dana Hamilton, her grandchildren Jennifer Johnson, Janna Brabham, and Matthew Hamilton and her great-grandchildren Trey, Luke, and Taryn Brabham, all of Yukon, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dub, her parents Inez and Harold Stone, and her maternal grandparents Osian and Mamer McShan.

She was a previous member of Chisholm Trail Presbyterian Church and an active member of United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd at the time of her death.

A memorial service to celebrate her life is scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd, Yukon, Oklahoma.
