The following obituary of Mrs. William Eversoll will be of interest to readers of the Democrat as deceased was quite well known throughout Boone county, especially in Cass township, where she had many relatives.

Mary Elizabeth Carrel was born in Decatur County, Iowa, January 11th, 1855, and passed away at her home in Burrough Valley California, at the age of 62 years, 9 months and 9 days. She had been in poor health for two years being afflicted with Bright's disease.

She moved with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Carrel to Boone County, Iowa when a small child.

She was married to William Eversoll in 1876. They moved to Spring Valley, Arkansas, and later moved to Burrough Valley California, where they have resided for the past thirty three years.

She is survived by her husband and three children, two sisters, and five brothers.
The children are Mrs. Minerva Schuler of Clovis, California, Glen Eversoll, of Burrough Valley, and Mrs. Edith Weldon, of Burrough Valley. The two sisters, are Mrs. Carrie Hemesley of Woodward and Mrs. Emily Oviatt of Madrid. The brothers are Samuel Carrel of Livermore, Iowa; Asa Carrel of Indianola; Charles of Fresno, California; Jacob of Livermore, Iowa and Theodore of Algona, Iowa.

The funeral was held Friday September 21st conducted by Rev. Charles L. Beall of Fresno. Interment in the Pleasant Vale cemetery, near Tollhouse, California.

Miss Mary E. Carroll, born in Decatur County, Iowa, in 1855 was married to William Eversoll in 1876. She had 2 children before moving to Fresno, California with him in July of 1884. In the fall of that year, they moved to Burroughs Valley.

Mary passed away September 20, 1917, at sixty-two years of age. She was a devoted wife and mother, and a devout Methodist ; she left three children : Minerva, who is Mrs. Shuler of Fresno, and who has three children, Velma, Billy and Elizabeth; Glenn H., who married Daisy Mitchell, a Normal graduate engaged in teaching school while he is ranching with his father, and they have one child, Florence; and Edith, who was born in California and who is the wife of W. B. Welden, a rancher in Burroughs Valley, and has one child, Walter.
