LESLIE SCHADE DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS -
Funeral services were held at 2p.m., Tuesday, May 7, at the Emmanual United Methodist Church for Leslie P. Schade, 70, of Chatsworth, who died at Fairbury Hospital, Saturday, May 4. He had been ill about two and one-half months.
Rev. Leroy Huntley, officaited and Mrs. A.M. Trickle, organist, accompanied Mrs. James Haberkorn, soloist.
Casset bearers were; alfred Hitch, John Ruppel, Doland Higgins, Raymond C. Martin, Erwin Teter and Paul Whittenbarger.
Mesdames; Harold Krueger, Harold Dassow, John Ruppel and Paul Whittenbarger, were in charge of the floral tributes.
Masonic rights were held at Culken Memorial Home on Mnday evening and burial was in Chatsworth Cemetery.
He was born in Germanville Township, June 21, 1897, a son of Adam and Katherine Berlett Schade. He married Clara Brown at Cullom, November 15, 1924. She died February 9, 1962.
Surviving, are two sons; Leslie C., Chatsworth and Warren of Schamberg; a daughter, Mrs. Melbon(Mary Donna Vail), Cropsey; two brothers, Weldon, Chatsworth and Charles A. of Strawn. Seven sisters; Mrs. Henry (Dorothy Haberkorn), Mrs. Donald (Katherine Foster), and Mrs. Floyd (Ruth Mathews), Gibson City, and Mrs. Ben (Arlene Brogh) of Terra Haute, Indiana, and seven grandchildren. A daughter preceded him in death.
He was member of the United Methodis Church, past master of the Chatsworth Masonic Lodge, and a member of Bloomington Consistory, Peoria Shrine and Livingston Service Co., Board of Directors. He was a former E.U.P. Church trustee.
