We are pained to chronicle the death of Mr. Seaborn Armstrong, one of our county's landmarks and a most highly respected citizen, which sad event occurred at the residence of his son, Mr. J. M. Armstrong, near Silver Creek on the night of the 14 inst. He was laid tenderly to rest in the graveyard at Silver Creek last Friday, surrounded by a multitude of grief-striken relatives, a host of sorrowing friends. He was about 75 years of age, possibly older, and his life had been well spent and useful to his fellowman, while dying in the blessed triumphs of a Christian's faith. Truly it can be said of him that he was a blessing to the world, for his children and children's children are numerous and go to constitute the most worthy and highly respected portion of our population. He was beloved by all who knew him, and his death will be deeply deplored. May the breezes sigh gently over his last resting place, and his soul have a dwelling in that blissful kingdom which knows no death.
