NORA INGEBORG MYHRE
Nora Ingeborg Myhre grew up on the farm east of Sanborn, N.D. She went to school in Sanborn, but was unable to finish high school, because she was needed at home. Later on she attended business college in Moohead.
Nora worked as a housekeeper for a few years, taking care of an invalid lady.
On December 6, 1932 she married John Hendrickson from Memhaga, MN. They moved unto a farm near Sanborn. At the time John worked construction and Nora took care of the chores, garden and housework.
In the Fall of 1936-37 they moved to California. John became a member of the Carpenter's Union of Long Beach. Nora continued to do housework, mostly ironing for others.
Upon retirement they moved to Paramount, CA., and became members of the Lutheran Church there.
Nora's hobbies were sewing, crocheting and tending to her roses and her cats.
John passed away February 4, 1982 and Nora passed away April 21, 1985.
Nora and John are buried at Angeles Abby Memorial Park, Paramount, CA.
They were preceded in death by an infant that was stillborn on March 17, 1933 and is buried at St. Peters Cemetery, Sanborn, ND.
