"Andreas was my father's grandfather. Since my father was born in 1910, his paternal grandparents had already passed away. Information my father, Arnold Chimo, shared with me about Andreas was that he had been a saloon keeper and was very strong. My father always referred to him as Andrew; and, as is still common with some immigrants, Andreas was also called by an unofficial "Americanized" first name. A tale about him was that he had been able to pull a wagon that had been heavy - even for a horse! Although family sagas are often exaggerated, he might have been a powerful man. Unfortunately, concerning Andreas, records are scant and any photographs, to my knowledge, are non-existent.

Family Search has a record that may or may not be referring to Andreas and his family. Their source "Hungary, Catholic Church Records, 1636-1895" lists Gasparus Chajma Deceased • LCKP-MF4 and Susana Balas Deceased • LCKP-MFH having their son, Andreas Chajma– Deceased • LCKP-MF7, christened on 26 November 1839. There is also a possible sister (her last name spelling is slightly different) Anna Chapma – Deceased • LC9Z-58W christened 22 August 1833 in the same city as Andreas, Csesztve, Nógrád, Hungary. I think Andreas Chajma may be Andreas Chimo, but I have no way of verifying this, and I have not been able to verify any possible siblings of Andreas - Arlynn Chimes 15 Jul 2021, great-granddaughter of Andreas "Andrew" Chimo"
