Illness Is Fatal To A.G. Lopez

Agustin G. Lopez, retired Rock Island Lines section hand of 1310 S. Choctaw, died Saturday at his home following a long illness. Mr. Lopez was born May 27, 1889, at Santa Ana, Mexico, and came to the United States, settling at Calumet in 1917. He moved to El Reno in 1944. He retired from the Rock Island in 1953, after 36 years of service. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees. Survivors include four sons: Alfred, of the U.S. Navy, stationed in Oklahoma City; Arthur, of Norman, OK; Donald, stationed with the Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base; and Joe of the home; three daughters: Mrs. Robert Wood, Denver, Colo., Miss Birdie Jane Lopez and Miss Beatrice Lopez, both of the home; three brothers: Bartolo Lopez, Arvin, Calif., Juan Lopez and Guiermo Lopez of Querendaro, Mexico, and three sisters: Maria, Sofia and Cureria, all of Querendaro. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by the Wilson Funeral Home.

Funeral Rites Set For A.G. Lopez

Rosary for A.G. Lopez, 1310 S. Choctaw, who died Saturday following a long illness, will be held at 7:30 P.M. today in the Wilson Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 9 A.M. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Emil Depreitere, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the El Reno Cemetery under direction of the Wilson Funeral Home.

Augustin G. Lopez Rites Are Held

Services were Wednesday at 9 A.M. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Agustin G. Lopez, 68, retired Rock Island employee of 1310 S. Choctaw, who died Saturday at his home following a long illness. Mr. Lopez was born March 27, 1888, in Santa Ana, Mexico, and came to this country in 1917, settling at Calumet. He moved to El Reno in 1944.
Survivors include four sons: Alfred, stationed with the U.S. Navy in Oklahoma City; Arthur of Norman, OK; Donald, who is based with the Air Force at Tinker Air Force Base, and Joe of the home; three daughters: Mrs. Robert Wood of Denver, Birdie Jane and Beatrice, both of the home; five grandchildren; three brothers: Juan and Guiermo, both of Querendaro, Mexico; Bartolo of Arvin, CA and three sisters:
Maria Lopez, Sofia Lopez and Cureria, all of Querendaro.
Father Emil DePreitere officiated at the services and said Rosary in the home Tuesday evening. Interment was in the El Reno Catholic cemetery under supervision of the Wilson Funeral Home.
