Aileen (Houk) Shelton was born on October 39, 1907 in Glasgow, Kentucky, the daughter of Henry Silas Houk (1878–1950) and Bertha (Dickerson) Houk (1883–1947).
She was married on February 10, 1925 at her home at 916 Fourth Avenue South in Nashville to Paul A Shelton (1902–1989), the son of Lew Allen Shelton and Beulah (Johnson) Shelton.
Living on Rural Route 5 out of Franklin in Williamson County, Aileen was 55 years old and married when she died of hemorrhage and shock on January 8, 1963 at Nashville General Hospital, where she had been for two days.
Survivors included her husband Paul, daughter Mrs Marion Hibler and three grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held on January 9th at Woodbine Funeral Home, and burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
