Abraham Depew's parents were James Depew and Sarah Long. Born in Guernsey County, Ohio on August 13, 1850 and moved to Concord, DeKalb, Indiana about the same year. He is listed with his parents on the Concord Twp Census in 1860 and 1870. He married Emeline Bailey on December 28, 1871 and is listed on the 1880 Census again in Concord Twp. With her and son Wallace (5) (This would be George Wallace named after Abe's brother). After Emeline's death, he moved to Ingham, Michigan with his brother George W Depew (b.1843) (Also listed on the Concord Twp Census and died in Ingham, Michigan). Abraham then remarried Sadie Pennock on October 13, 1895 and listed on the marriage return his parents James Depew and Sarah Long. They are then listed in a few of the Ingham, Michigan census. When Abraham died on February 19, 1935, the Lansing County Vital Statistics Death Notice lists his father as James. However, has his birth year as 1856, which I believe to be incorrect. Abraham also had a twin brother named Isaac, also on the Concord Census.
