Charles Szczesny, 85, ... died Sunday, June 20, 1999, at his residence.

Szczesny was born in Anderson, Ind., March 7, 1914, son of the late John and Theodora Wysniewski Szczesny.

He served in the U. S. Merchant Marine. He worked at American Meter Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of American Legion Carl Neff Post 571 and the Huzar Club. Szczesny was preceded in death by three brothers, Anthony, Ted and Chester Szczesny; and three sisters, Sally, Jean and Virginia Szczesny. He is survived by one brother, ... of Edinboro; two sisters, Mary August, of Erie, and Helen Baderschnider, of California; and many nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. The Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., east is handling arrangements."
