DIED.-- on the 24th July, at the residence of his father, (Daniel Shofner) in Charlestown Twp, Chester Co, JOHN SHOFNER, Jr., in the 29th year of his age. The deceased was a young man, whose disposition & manners were of that amiable & conciliatory cast which endeared him to all who came within the circle of his acquaintance. So refined were his morals, that even his most intimate associates never heard him utter a sentence of reproach against any one.
The above notice having been justly merited by the deceased; the writer's object in recording it, embraces a hope, that the example may have a salutary influence on the morals of the rising generation.
