BASILE -- Elaine Cart Bellon died on Thursday, October 08, 2009 at her home here. She was 73.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.
She was native of Iota and retired as a Food Service Coordinator for LSU Eunice after 26 years.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Bellon; and her children, Connie Vancleve and her husband, Stephen of New Iberia, Paul K. (Joe) Bellon and his wife, Misty of Tepetate, Jennifer Redlich of Port Arthur, John D. Bellon and his wife, Karla of Egan, Phyllis Maybrier and her husband, Robert of Basile and Shelia Sattler and her husband, Todd of Tepetate; 14 grandchildren, Jacob Vancleve and his wife, Kally, Lindy Doucet and her husband, Daylon, Laura Daigle and her husband Tran, Laney Bellon, Emily and Ian Redlich, Kristopher Bellon and his wife, Susan, Browdie and Andrew Bellon, Robert Blake Maybrier and his wife, Ashley, Katelyn Maybrier, Heidi Siebert and her husband, Kyle, Alex and Whitney Sattler and ten great-grandchildren, Zoe Vancleve, Mallory and Bryn Doucet, Owen, Connor, Payton, and Hudson Daigle, Aden Redlich, Prestyn Bellon, and Ethan Maybrier. Also mourning her loss are her brother, Hugh Cart of Scottsdale, AZ and her sister, Anita Reed of Crowley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewell and Edith Miller Cart, and her brother, Hilary Cart.
Visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, October 09, 2009 from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm and again on Saturday, October 10, 2009 from 7:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
