Funeral services were held Sunday at Elora for Mrs. Alice Farmer Reed, 29, who died at the Lincoln county hospital, here on Friday at 9:30 a.m. after a brief illness.
She is survived by the widower, Emmett Reed; three small children, James Ellis, Ruby Lorene, and Rodger Glenn, all at home; her mother Mrs. S.A. Farmer of Elora; three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Fuller of Florence, Mrs. Arnell Quigley of New York City, and Mrs. Annie Mae Keller of Elora; five brothers, Herman and Edward Farmer of Elora, Melton Farmer of Huntland, Ballard Farmer of Nashville, and Fred Farmer of the U.S. Army in Canada.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Elora Baptist church with the Rev. Crutcher Bailey and the Rev. Frank Gwathney officiating. Raby funeral home of Fayetteville was in charge of interment in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Anderson Reed, Milton Reed, Ellis Reed, James Durham, Paul Walker, and Ollie Keller.
