Joann Abrams, age 72, of New Holland, passed away Thursday evening, July 2, 2009 in OSU Medical Center. Her death was sudden and unexpected. She was born March 14, 1937 in Hilliard, Oh. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie (Twigg) Hunt. Member of the Midwest Cloggers for 25 years.

She was preceded in death by husband Charles (November 17, 2008), sister Opal Miller brothers Myron and Clarence Jr. She is survived by son, William Abrams of Orient; daughter, Jenni (Lee) Deming of Washington C.H.; five grandchildren, Karson and Emily Abrams, Drake and Drew Bennett, and Dara Deming; sisters, Sue Leach (Rock) of New Albany, Ind., Patty Salyers (Speed) of Ky., Lot Wagoner of Circleville, Marie Swiney of Washington C.H.; brother, Allen (Nancy) Hunt of Delaware, Oh.; numerous nieces and nephews; special relatives, Jackie Stapleton, Don and Rose Abrams, Doris and Roy Musick.

A Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. David Dale will officiate with the burial following in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Hilliard.
