Frank grew up at Hastings along with his eight brothers and sisters as follows-
Harley Fulton 1872 – 1956
Marion Wilburt "Burt" Fulton 1874 – 1941
Gaylord Fulton 1876 – 1962
Mertie Mae Fulton Weirick 1878 – 1944
Versia Effie "Versa" Fulton Bowers 1879 – 1965
James Blaine Fulton 1881 – 1963
Clyde Fulton 1884 – 1907
Bertha Irene Fulton Long 1887 – 1971
Frank's father, Isaac died in 1893 and he took over the duties as man of the household. This regard for others was characteristic of his entire life.
Frank was united in marriage with Miss Daisy Alberta Snider, she was the daughter of Daniel M. and Mary Catherine "Cora" Lash Snider of near Bellville. They were married at Daisy's parents home on 17 January of 1894.
From 1894 until around 1900 Frank and Daisy lived at Hastings and Frank ran the Post Office and he had a hardware business there. In November of 1899 their daughter Hazel Fern was born.
Sometime around the turn of the century Frank and wife Daisy moved into the nearby village of Lucas, they lived near downtown on Main Street. They were blessed with two more daughters, Thelma Viona was born in 1909 and daughter Betty Wave in 1916.
Frank was truly a "jack of all trades." He ran his Fulton Hardware business in Lucas for over 50 years, he was at one time President of the Lucas School Board, the Village Council, a member of the Lucas Fire Department and an avid reader. He was also a carpenter and built many of the homes around Monroe Township. Another of Frank's many jobs was that he dug a number of the graves at Oddfellows IOOF Cemetery. Sometimes he received $10.00 for his work, which he donated to the Lucas Congregational Church.
Widowed in 1935, he never remarried, but lived with his youngest daughter Betty Farst and her family.
Upon Frank's death he was given a final tribute as one of the town's best loved citizens. He died at the age of 87 and was buried in the Oddfellows (I.O.O.F.) Cemetery near Lucas.
"May he rest in peace."
