John Floyd "Jake" Bailey is the son of John Harmon Bailey (1872-1946) and Susan Vassentine Stanfield (1871-1946). He married Jewell Rowena Nabers (1898-1974) on 9 April 1916 in Gordon County, Georgia.

BAILEY - The friends of Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bailey, Misses Georgia, Christine and Jennette Bailey, of Atlanta; Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Williams, of Hill City, Ga.; Miss Lois Bailey, of Hill City, Ga.; Mr. and Mrs. V. R. Bailey, of Atlanta; Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Bailey, of Dalton, Ga.; Miss Nell Nabers, of Atlanta; Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Nabers, of Rome, Ga., and Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Nabers, of Atlanta, are invited to attend the funeral of Mr. J. F. Bailey this (Saturday) afternoon at 12:30 o'clock at the chapel of Harry G. Poole. Rev. E. M. Altman will officiate. Members of the Kennesaw lodge, No. 247. B. of L. F. and E., will act as pallbearers. The members will meet at the chapel. The remains will be sent Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, via Southern Ry., to Hill City, Ga., for interment. Harry G. Poole, funeral director.
