Peoria, IL - Frank L. Arons, 86, of Fernley, Nev., formerly of Peoria, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, in Reno, Nev.
He was born on Sept. 17, 1923, in Peoria County to Elmer Anton Arons and Jessie V. Lindstrom Arons. He married Alice M. Stegmaier on Aug. 6, 1949, in Peoria.
Frank is survived by his wife, Alice; son, Leonard of Imperial, Mo.; daughter, Nancy Baxter of Fernley, Nev.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Frank was owner of Midland Supply Co. for 45 years, retiring in 2005; and he was a member of Amvets Post 64 and American Legion Post 979.
He was a World War II Army veteran who served in Europe.
