Nora was the daughter of Thomas Barklow(1853-1928) and Ann Elizabeth Miller(1851-1920).

Grand kids remember her making "Bird's Nests". She would pat out pie crust into a circle, put apples, sugar, cinnamon, etc. in center then fold up the sides to make a dish. Then she would put the crust on the top in a lattice pattern. Would then put the nests in a pie pan and bake. Made them every time she came up to see family. Also wore a pretty hat with four roses across the front, think the roses were pink. During the war a lot of the food was rationed. Nora got in a line thinking she was getting some type of food after while she realized it was for whiskey. The boys really teased her about that.

Henry Knight was married to Miss Nora Barklow, last Sunday, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thos Barklow, Rev David Overholtzer pronouncing the marriage ceremony. The wedding was a quiet one, only the relatives and a few friends witnessing the event. The bride is a highly respected young lady and has many friends. She is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Barklow. The groom is an industrious young man with steady habits. They will reside in Bridge.
