N F Gann Succumbs
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Saturday, Nov 17 at the Houston Funeral Home chapel for Nelson Frank Gann, 75, who died Thursday night, Nov 15 at the Houston Hospital. The Rev. Frank Smith and Rev. W F Clark officiated, with interment in Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wilburn Allen, Durell Gann, W F Gann, Melvin Gann, Donald Gene Gann, and Bobby L Gann.
Mr. Gann was a retired farmer, who resided on Highway 8 east. He was a lifelong resident of Chickasaw County having been born here Dec 3 1897, the son of Tom Gann and Mattie Long Gann.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Trannie Criddle Gann of Houston; two sons, Curtis Gann of Houston and William Gann of Grenada, and one daughter, Miss Ruth Gann of Houston. Also surviving are two brothers, Clarence Gann and Richard Gann and one sister, Mrs. Lera Allen all of Houston. Five grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
