Mary was the daughter of August and Elsie Meineck Willimite. Her parents immigrated to the United States ahead of her and she followed in 1891 with two of her sisters.
On June 9, 1899, she married Edward Yecke. They had five sons, William, Edward, Milton, Earl and Jerome, and three daughters, Helen, Gladys and Deloris.
Mary was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and its Frauenverein and Mission Society.
Mary was survived by four sons, one daughter, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, one brother and one sister.
