Jess Edgar Lee and his twin brother John Edward were born January 22, 1909 in Trinity County, Texas to William Solomon and Jennie Jo Crawford Lee. Edgar worked as a farmer and a logging hand. He never married, although he was engaged twice. He lived most of the time with his twin brother, John, his wife Cricket & their family. He was like a second father and grandfather to John's kids & grandkids. After John's death he lived in a small house built for him by his nephew in-law, Charlie Floyd and was cared for by his sister in-law Cricket, who continued to clean and wash for him and with whom he ate all his meals. He died on March 4, 1993 in Lufkin, Texas.
