Jennings - Amos Crochet, 83, died at 3:40 a.m., Friday, Sept. 12 at Jeff Davis Living Center of Jennings.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 13, Miguez Funeral Home. Burial will be Miller French Church Cemetery.

Jennings - Funeral services for Amos Crochet, 83, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday September 13, 2003 in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Rev's Claude Fontenot & Louis Charrier officiating.
Burial with Military Brial Gravesite Rites was in the Miller French Church Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, La.
Mr. Crochet died at 3:40 a.m. Friday September 12, 2003 in the Jeff Davis Living Center.
He was a lifelong resident of Evangeline/Iota area and a WWII Army Veteran, Member of Miller French Baptist Church and a retired rice and soybean farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bernice Miller Crochet; three sons, Richard Crochet & Russell Crochet of Evangeline and Billy Crochet of Eunice; three sisters, Hazel Bellard & Myrtle Theriot of Evangeline and Nellarine Higginbottham; two brothers, Olen Crochet of Iota and George Crochet of Evangeline and nine grandchildren.
