Christina (Grosshans) Bentz was probably born in Neudorf, S. Russia. Three of her children, Chrstian (b. 22 Apr 1875, d. 13 Jan 1878), Julianna (b. 23 Jun 1877, d. 20 Jul 1879) and Katharina (b. 17 Aug 1879, d. 10 May 1880) all were born and died in Neudorf, a German colony near the Black Sea in South Russia. The other four children of Philipp and Christina were also born in Neudorf but it looks like they immigrated with their parents to South Dakota - they were Johann (b. 13 Apr 1881), Peter (b. 29 Mary 1883), Jakob (b. 20 Apr 1885) and Elisabetha (b. 27 May 1887).
