"Herman (see note)*, the two weeks old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rhodes, died at the home of the parents yesterday morning. The funeral was held this morning with interment in the Biloxi cemetery. This was one of the twins born to Mr. and Mrs. Rhodes two weeks ago. The other, a girl, is doing nicely".
Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 4, page 106; Hamilton was 16 days old when he died as a "poorly developed child". The family lived at the Dunbar, Lopez and Dukate Camp.
NOTE: Both the funeral record and the Biloxi Cemetery list the first name as "Hamilton", not
"Herman".
