VIDALIA - Mrs. Nell Mulling Allmond, 88, died October 29, 2009 in the Bethany Nursing Center of Vidalia after an extended illness. Mrs. Allmond was a native of Midville, GA. She was born September 19, 1921. Mrs. Allmond was a graduate of Midville High School and Draughton Business School in Savannah, GA. She married Virgil Quitman Allmond, Sr. September 14, 1941 and for their 55 years together, they lived in Savannah, Midville, and Vidalia. Mr. Allmond died, October 31, 1996. Survivors: two sons, Virgil Quitman Allmond, Jr. of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and Royce Hillman Allmond of Madison, FL. Three grandsons, Marshal Blaine Allmond, of Sparta GA; Virgil Kirk Allmond, and wife, Sandi of Hanover, PA; and Christopher Loy Allmond of Sterling Heights MI. One great-grandson survives, Jack Kirkland Allmond of Hanover, PA, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services: 1:00pm Monday, November 2, 2009 from the Tabernacle Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Thompson officiating. Interment: North Thompson Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitaiton: at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. Stewart Funeral Service Vidalia, GA.
