Long time Colville resident Bobbye Sue Heberling, our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Friday, February 1 in Spokane.

She was born on November 7, 1933 in Hood County, Texas to Rueban N. and Mary V. Richardson. One of 16 children, she is preceded in death by her parents and eleven of her siblings.

Her husband, Lawrence J. Heberling Jr., preceded her in death on February 14, 1994. She is survived by four sisters, her children and by eight grandchildren.

Stricken with debilitating rheumatoid arthritis at the tender age of 24 she suffered much pain in her life. She suffered much in silence showing all of us what it meant to be a selfless, sweet and tender lady. Her strength could not be measured by mere words this she showed us until the very end. She took her last breaths in her sleep with her daughters asleep at her side. We are all extremely blessed to have had such a tremendous woman lead us. We are all at peace knowing she now knows no pain.

Thank you, God for allowing me to possess the light of the Gospel in my frail, human vessel so everyone will know that the power in my life comes from you. II Corinthians 4:7

A public memorial service was held on Monday, February 4. Burial followed at the Mountain View Park Cemetery in Colville.
