Mrs. C. Bridges, 79, Of Columbia

Mrs. Bertha M. Bridges, 79, of 400 Union St., Saint Peter Apartments, Columbia, died Monday evening at Heatherbank Rehabilitation Center, Columbia, following a lengthy illness.

She was the wife of the late Clarence L. Bridges. Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Nancy Gregg Clark. She retired in 1964 as a clerk and office worker for Hinkle's Pharmacy, Columbia. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church, Columbia.

She is survived by a daughter, Virginia, wife of Robert M. Gambler, Lancaster; four grandchildren and there great-grandchildren.

BRIDGES - Entered into rest in Columbia, PA, on July 9, 1984, BERTHA M. BRIDGES, wife of the late Clarence L. Bridges, of 400 Union Street, St. Peter Aopartments, Columbia, PA in her 80th year. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut Street, Columbia, PA, on Friay at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Joanne S. Kernitz officiating. Interment in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Kraft Funeral Home on Friday from 1PM until time of service. The family requests that flowers be omited. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Bridges memory to the First United Methodist Church, Second & Cherry Streets, Columbia, PA 17512.
