Adele Donati Bagley, of Richmond, died October 31, 2009. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Bagley; her brother, David J. Donati III; a sister, Vivian Ryan Williams.
She is survived by her children, Dr. John J. Bagley Jr. and his wife, Gwen, the Honorable Carol Bagley Amon and her husband, Thomas, Gayle Bagley Augst and her husband, Michael, Terrence M. Bagley and his wife, Cynthia; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lorrie Donati Nissley and her husband, James.
Adele was born in Richmond and grew up in Church Hill. She attended Westhampton College and graduated from Smithdeal Massey Business School. Before raising her family she worked at Reynolds Metals Corporation as an executive assistant. Adele was a loving mother and devoted wife. At the time of her death she was a resident of Westminster Canterbury.
The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Avenue, with a Rosary Service at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday November 3, at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
