Lucile Blackburn Blanton Patrick, 101 years and 10 months old, died Thursday, August 18, 2016.

Lucile was born October 18, 1914 in Clinton, NC, daughter of the late William Samuel Blackburn and Bertha Carroll Blackburn. Her first husband, Dewey Blanton, second husband, Oscar Patrick, two sisters, Mary Edens and Lois Bunn, and two brothers, Ernest Blackburn and Roland Blackburn, preceded her in death.

She graduated from Falcon High School, worked in retail for years, and was an avid homemaker. Lucile loved dearly the Wilmington First Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was a faithful and active member for over 70 years.

She is survived by two daughters, Virtie Blanton Baldwin (Kent) and Rita Jane Patrick, both of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Sharon Williamson and Jeffery Baldwin; two great-grandchildren, Hannah McMahan (Bradley) and Nick Williamson; two sisters, Virginia Oliver and Pauline Baldwin (Larry); a brother, Millard Blackburn; many special nieces and nephews; and special friends, Linda Scott, Sandy Glasgow, Joan Derbyshire, Lyn Schupp, Rosemary Hardin, and Shari Capps.

The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 6:00pm Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Andrews Market Street Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Monday, August 22, 2016, at Andrews Market Street Chapel with Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens.
