Funeral services for Elmer Padgett, 62, owner of the Greenfield Hotel and B&B Truck Stop Restaurant in King City, were conducted from the Ree C. Grim Chapel in King City this morning with the Rev. K. W. Shires of the Greenfield Pentecostal Church officiating.
Mr. Padgett, who had been in ill health, passed away suddenly Friday. His survivors include his wife, Mayme, one daughter, Mrs. Ernest Heihle of Soledad, and three grandchildren.
Interment was in the King City Cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers: Butch Franscioni, Russ Allred, Al Gray, John Bunch, R. C. McCammon and Monroe Bandy, all of Greenfield.
