Funeral Services Will Be a First M.E. Church Tomorrow Morning

A.S. Dierdorff died at 8:30 o'clock yesterday morning at his home, 419 Poplar Street. He had been ill since September, suffering from a complications of ailments, but had been confined to his bed only about four weeks. His condition had been critical for the last week. He was 71 years old.

Mr. Dierdorff had lived in Carthage 27 years, having come here from Harper county, Kansas. He was born October 14, 1853 at York, Pennsylvania. and when he was five years old, the family moved to Goshen, Indiana. He was married in Iowa in 1875, and four years later they moved to Nevada, Missouri where they lived until 1887 when they moved to Harper county, Kansas.

Mr. Dierdorff was a contractor and builder, and followed his work until he became ill last fall. He was a competent builder, many of the fine homes of Carthage being products of his skill. By his splendid character and integrity he won a wide following of friends.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. F.M. Boland and Miss Edith Dierdorff, both of Carthage. Mrs. Dierdorff died in 1901 and a daughter died in 1910.
