The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, November 15, 1906
MRS. SAM HARNED, wife of one of the old residents of Pleasant Township, died at her home on Saturday morning at 4 o'clock, of neuralgia of the stomach. She had been an intense sufferer for a long time but later got much better and it was thought she would ultimately recover, but took suddenly worse and after a week's illness succumbed to the fatal malady.
Funeral services were held at the Oak Dale Church, Monday morning, conducted by Rev. A.L. Bates. Thus a good woman has gone to her reward.
