He was born on March 1, 1947, to the late Thomas Larkin and Zetta Mae Payton Fulkerson in New Albany. He was a self employed mechanic and body shop painter. He enjoyed flying model airplanes and was a member of the Old Man's Flying Club, American Modelers Association and the Southern Indiana Modelers Club.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Phyllis Kays Fulkerson; children, Barbara Keller and her husband, Danny, of Memphis, Robert Fulkerson and his wife, Cindy, of Burnsville and William Fulkerson and his wife, Vallory, of New Albany; brother, Leroy Fulkerson and his wife, Jan, of Salem; sisters, Goldie Holbrook, Joyce Wynn and her husband, Roger, and Darlene Milam and her husband, Herb, all of New Albany; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 1 to 8 p.m. today.
