JOHN "JD" DUNAWAY, 63 years of age, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2009 with his family by his side. JD was born on July 27, 1946 to Ira and Marjorie Dunaway in Lawrence, Kansas. He served his country proudly with the United States Marine Corp. in Vietnam for eight years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will forever be missed. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Dunaway; his son, John Dunaway Jr.; and four step-children, Robert and Amy Bakenhus, Joe and Julie Skelton, Jason and Dana Boyd, and Shane Boyd and six grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Pat H. Foley & Co. The funeral service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2009 in the Chapel at Pat H. Foley & Co. with Rev. M. Eugene Vickery officiating. A graveside service with military honors will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery.
