Ocala - Mrs. Annie Arthur, age 97, homemaker, transitioned from this life on Monday, November 9, 2009 at her residence under the care of Hospice. She was born in Quitman, Georgia. She was a lifetime resident of Marion County. She was a member of Greater Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her children: Dorothy Thomas, Margaret Woolbright and Leroy Mathis, Ocala, Florida; Reginald Brown (Barbara) Orlando, Florida; Willie Arthur (Retha) Jimmy Arthur (Dorothy) Corine Arthur and Lorene Arthur all of Lake Wales, Florida; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Annie Arthur, age 97, homemaker, will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at the Greater Hopewell Baptist Church 515 Northwest 6th Terrace Ocala, Florida 34475 with the Reverend Richard Howard, Sr., Interim Pastor, conducting the services. Interment will be in the Chestnut Cemetery under the care of Summers Funeral Home, Inc. 2238 Northwest 10th Street Ocala, Florida 34475. Visitation will be on Friday at Summers Funeral Home Inc. from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Then Saturday at the church 2:00 p.m. until time of service. No viewing after the eulogy.
