Mr. Bordelon passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2009 in Veterans Hospital of Pineville.
Mr. Bordelon served in the United States Marine Corps 5th Marine Division as a paratrooper. He was wounded in action while participating in the assault and capture of Iwo Jima. He was awarded the Purple Heart medal.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Wilbert Bordelon; sisters, Rosella Gaspard and Marjorie Armand; father, Clifton R. Bordelon; mother, Mathilda Zimmer Bordelon.
His survivors include his wife, Earline L. Bordelon of Bordelonville; daughters, Renella Pastor of Bordelonville, Claudette Couvillion of Marksville and Anita Clark of Walker; brother, Garrett Bordelon of Baker; sister, Beverly Normand of Bordelonville; seven grandchildren, Heath Pastor, Heather Pastor, Jenna Pastor Hogan, Cain Couvillion, Caleb Couvillion, Hailey Clark and Elise Clark; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at St. Peter Church Hall, Bordelonville on Saturday from 8 a.m. until 12.45 p.m.
