Chapel services for Betty N. Hale, 76, of Mesquite, formerly of Chandler, are scheduled for noon Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Tyler Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Paul Brown officiating. Entombment will follow in the Field of Honor Mausoleum in Tyler Memorial Park.

Mrs. Hale was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Wilkes County, Ga., to the late Harry and Estelle Gill Norman, and passed away Nov. 11, 2009, in Rowlett. She had lived in Mesquite since 2002, was a business office collection clerk for East Texas Medical Center and a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church and a former member of Fifth Street Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Hale is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and two brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Becky Day and husband Jim of Mesquite; three grandchildren, Michael Day of Mesquite, Richard Day of Dallas and Katie Day of Mesquite; two sisters-in-law, Betty Norman and Baylor Blair; aunt, Carrie Norman; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Lovey.

Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
