Wehrenberg, Bonnita (Bonnie)
78, of Sun City, Arizona, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009. She was born January 19, 1931, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, to Anna Mae (Kast) and Harvey Briggs, Sr. She graduated from Logan High School and La Crosse, and Ravenswood Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago. She was a member of the Community Church of Joy Lutheran Church in Glendale, a member of the Glendale Civic Pride Ambassadors, and a volunteer for the Glendale Fire Department Community Emergency Response Team. She also organized the Pride Group at Arrowhead Hospital. While raising her children, she was active in scouts, PTA, numerous medical organizations and community service projects. She is survived by her children Nancey (Danny) Lowenberg, Frederick Jr. (Doreen) Wehrenberg, and Ellyn (Robert) Wickliffe; grandchildren Lauren Lowenberg, Ryan (Melissa) Wehrenberg, Sarah Wehrenberg, Abigail Wickliffe, and Spencer Lowenberg; two great-grandsons Tyler and Bryce Wehrenberg; one brother Keith (JoAnn) Briggs; sisters-in-law Violet Wehrenberg, Gwyneth Briggs, Carol (Dale) Peterson, Doris Dogs, Ruth Wehrenberg; brothers-in-law Harold Dahl, Marlin (Mary) Wehrenberg, and Gerald (Colleen) Wehrenberg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Frederick, Sr.; her parents, six brothers, and three sisters. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009, from 3:00-9:00 p.m., at Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 Del Webb Boulevard, Sun City, Arizona. Funeral Services will be given at Community Church of Joy, 21000 North 75th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, at 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. Private burial will be at The National Cemetery, Cave Creek, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to sclerodermaresearch.org or a favorite charity. Arrangements entrusted to Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, Az.
