Respectfully contradicting cemetery records, it is suggested that this is Sarah Snethen, daughter of Reuben Gentry and Lucinda Jane (Sallee) Snethen. This speculation is based on the fact that Sarah was present in the Reuben Snethen household in 1850, but she was not there in the 1860. Date of 1850 census was 14 October 1850 and Sarah was age 10/12ths. Hence she was born approximately January 1850. Is it possible that the inscription on stone was illegible?
