Pete was the son of John and Anna Reese Klotzbach, of Hesse Cassel Germany, and brother of Fred, Lizzie Cole and Katherine Rahn. He was first married to Florence Saunders and later to Gertie Sassenroth Cummings. He first resided in Palmyra then Deansboro, was a farmer/butcher/meat cutter. He was a member of the Methodist church, Clinton Lodge and Deansboro Fire Company. Pete died of heart attack supposedly while wall papering in their home.
