Mrs. F. G. Semones, 44, died Monday morning at her home, 231 Spring Street, Mt. Airy, after a long illness.

Mrs. Semones was born in Carroll County, Va., Dec. 22, 1898, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. M. DeHaven.

She was a member of Mt. Airy Presbyterian church.

Surviving are the husband; three sons, Horace Semones, of the U.S. Army; Emmett Semones, of the U.S. Coast Guard; Marcus Semones of the home; one daughter, Foy Nell Semones of the home;
her parents; two brothers, Troy DeHaven of Hillsville and Bryan DeHaven of Galax;
five sisters, Mrs. Posey G. Gardner of Hillsville, Mrs. V. D. Kyle and Mrs. Raymond Robinson of Woodlawn, Mrs. Charles Pruitt of Bluefield, W. Va., and Mrs. Isaac Semones of Roanoke.

The funeral was held Wednesday morning at the Mt. Airy Presbyterian church. Dr. W. C. McLaughlin and Dr. R. K. Redwine conducted the services.

Burial was in the Semones family graveyard, three miles south of Hillsville on the Fancy Gap highway.
